[Geons-users] Replacement of sqlite with mongoDB

All,

With Enswitch 3.4 complete, development attention has turned to Geons
0.5 in the last few weeks. In particular, the following challenges need
to be addressed:

1. We need to implement cloning and replication of databases between
servers.

2. We need to address the slow write performance of sqlite.

I've been investigating alternative databases that might save a lot of
development effort. I first looked at CouchDB, before rejecting it due
to its lack of support for dynamic parameters passed to views. I then
looked at mongoDB, which looks ideal.

Does anyone have any experience with mongoDB? Opinions both for an
against it are welcome...
